ENACT Majlis Welcomes Global Leaders to Drive Innovation in Energy and AI 

The ENACT Majlis, hosted by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, occurred at the precipice of ADIPEC 2024. The event gathered global leaders across energy, technology, climate, and investment sectors to discuss innovative solutions for urgent environmental challenges, with a strong focus on the capacity of Artificial Intelligence to find and solve these emerging environmental needs. Participants at the ENACT Majlis featured over 80 industry leaders, including Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice, Founder of BY-EQ; Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO; Wael Sawan, CEO of Shell; Murray Auchincloss, CEO of BP; Brad Smith, Vice Chair and President of Microsoft. Matroid’s CEO, Reza Zadeh, also attended as a leader and pioneer in AI. Together, they explored the potential of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies to optimize industrial processes to be more sustainable.

Collaborating on AI and Sustainability

Discussions at the Majlis centered on integrating AI in energy systems to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions. Reza emphasized Matroid’s mission to develop AI-powered computer vision technology for optimizing industrial processes to be more sustainable, which aligns closely with the UAE’s and ADNOC’s commitment to sustainability.
