Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and Palo Alto, CA — November 21, 2024 AIQ, the Abu Dhabi-based AI champion developing innovative solutions for the energy sector, announces a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) and Matroid to create the world’s largest computer vision artificial intelligence (CVAI) cluster for Oil and Gas. This collaboration will leverage advanced computer vision technologies to transform safety, sustainability, and efficiency across the sector.

Signed during ADIPEC 2024, the partnership aims to support AIQ’s mission to accelerate AI adoption across the energy sector. This strategic position aligns closely with Matroid’s vision to drive transformative, and sustainable change in the industry. 

Through the collaboration, AIQ and Matroid will focus on deploying AI-driven visual inspection solutions across a growing range of use cases, from real-time offshore rig monitoring to petrographic sample analysis, to pipeline safety inspections. This partnership will allow for rapid deployment and customization, meeting the evolving needs of the industry. By integrating technologies, this strategic collaboration will seek to redefine standards in operational efficiency, emissions, and safety.
